Grateful.

Last week I spent time in Oxford & London with some of my favourite people.

Today I walked through a pretty village in Kent, got my boots nibbled by 8 little piglets & found time to read.

This weekend I will be celebrating one of my best friend's birthdays & finishing my Christmas shopping.

Where Does The Good Go || Summer Ball

Freedom! Had my last (ever?!) exam yesterday morning so we celebrated last night by having everyone round before summer ball. Definitely going to miss this bunch!

Now I'm looking forward to spending my last 3 weeks in Liverpool before moving back home for good, starting with a birthday tonight. Best be getting ready!

Horsefeathers.

I have had a wonderful Saturday, in spite of the miserable weather. Family time ft. my favourite 1st cousin once removed (mouthful) and my first horse riding lesson on a 16.3 hands tall horse who does not like the rain.

Now time for dinner and the Hunger Games: Catching Fire back at my aunt’s house. Bliss.

Hope you’re all having an equally lovely weekend.

Listen to Horsefeathers here: & here.

Mello Mello

I spied this little restaurant whilst en route to the bike shop one day and after a quick google thought it sounded like a place worth a visit, especially as Conor is a vegetarian.

As exams are over (for now), I figured this weekend just gone was the perfect time to head out for a meal.

The restaurant-come-bar (-come-music studio; in the basement, of course), serves delicious, extremely cheap, food and has a great selection of  board games to keep you entertained.

I had the lasagna which was insanely good and we played a couple of games of super mastermind - definitely forgot how stressful mastermind was!

By the looks of things it's host to a number of music events which is right up my street so a return visit will no doubt be made.

Mello Mello's website can be found here. If you ever find yourself in Liverpool, I would highly recommend them.

P.S. Apologies for the blurry pictures, the lighting was rather poor!

Barnesy Bakes || Brown Sugar Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is my third time in 4 months baking these and my 2nd time using chocolate orange. I made this particular batch on request, as they went down so well last time!

The recipe can be found on my sister's blog - here. I used about half chocolate orange and made up the rest of the 250g with white and plain cooking chocolate.

I definitely recommend giving these a go, they are 100% worth it.
